REAL PEOPLE - REAL CONVERSATIONS - REAL TIME
This is what you call profound. I have to respect it:

"It’s what I have done all my life. I tried to conform for a bit, I had to let that go. Not matter what my family expected or my friends wanted I am who I am. Being “unchained” means I don’t obstruct who I am. I try not to stand in my own way."
Joyce Owens - February 2012

I love that you talk about the layers to her art. An artist myself, I work in glass, and you can only imagine the layers I work into my pieces. I have also found layers to myself within my journey to sobriety. The Twelve Steps stoped me from forging the chains that bound me. I now feel free at last!
