Live Unchained is an arts initiative that showcases the inspiring, empowering and diverse works of black women artists and writers from around the world. We feature their work in Live Unchained art exhibits, film screenings performances and discussions. We’ll also develop a collection of these words in online and print media to be featured at the events. Stay tuned for more details on how you can contribute your work and our upcoming events.
It is important to note that for women to Live Unchained, they must be allowed to simply, live. For many black women across the globe, this basic entitlement is threatened on a daily basis. As Live Unchained grows, we will continue to seek ways to promote projects that enhance or create social, economic and political opportunities for women as well as their family and community members.
